We Do Not Wonder Why 7 Israel-Based Businesses Made It Into the List Of the World’s Most Innovative Companies
Fast Company’s 2021 edition of the World’s Most Innovative Companies definitely puts a smile on our face, and for a good reason: this year, as much as 7 Israel-based businesses made it into the list. Each of them are expanding the boundaries of what is possible in the spheres like data science, cybersecurity, AR/VR, and healthcare. Here’s a quick look into the solutions that earned them the accolade:
- Beewise was honored for creating the world’s first autonomous beehive. “What else could be improved in this traditional design?”, asked Beewise, adding robotic elements and artificial intelligence (AI) in order to skillfully control the temperature, humidity and intensity of the bees nutrition. “Treat bees as yourself”. By the way, about the workers: the need for human primitive work through this hive called BeeHome is reduced by 90%
- Quantum Machines is another winning company awarded an online certificate for the development of a single universal QUA language for quantum computers
- Theator’s ‘smart’ surgical platform has been praised for its role as ‘an invaluable helper in one of the world’s most difficult jobs: surgery’. The startup with an R&D center in Israel combines AI and computer vision capabilities to train and assist surgeons. In February, the company received a $ 15.5 million investment (Series A round)
- Surgical Theater’s virtual reality system allows the surgeon to visualize complex operations before they actually begin. Even patients who now understand what is going on in their head (literally) will benefit from the technology
- Telemedicine company TytoCare provides devices for remote medical testing. For healthcare institutions, this is a good move, because you can constantly monitor the condition of patients, including with Covid-19
- Identiq is preparing to become the company’s largest network for personal validation and payments. Using cryptography, the company allows businesses to identify users without syphoning personal data. In early March, Identiq received $ 47 million in investor support (Series A round)
- PerimeterX successfully protects web pages and applications from hacking by bots and humans. For the most part, PerimeterX retailer brands help prevent card fraud and reduce the risk of data leaks.
